Pool of experts

Requirement 4C1 applies only to large organizations. It states that management must hold a dialogue with an NGO or expert at least twice a year. These discussions focus on the organization’s CO₂ reduction goals, strategies, and projects. The aim is to ensure CO₂ reduction is a priority at the management level, while also identifying areas for improvement and exploring new topics.

Dialogue with experts

To support this process, SKAO provides a pool of experts that organisations can choose from. Organisations may also suggest their own experts for inclusion in the pool, following SKAO’s procedure and criteria.

Inspiration list

SKAO offers an inspiration list for experts and NGOs to guide these dialogues with large organizations. This document is not mandatory but serves as a resource for meaningful discussions. Experts cannot require organisations to provide specific documents based on this list.

Uniformity and rates

To ensure consistency, SKAO sets a maximum fee of € 600 per dialogue, based on half a day’s work. For detailed information about the dialogue requirements, we refer to Handbook 3.1 (in Dutch), specifically section 4C1 starting on page 74.
